Trusted by families

Real support for real families

Pearl helps people stay connected, organized, and supported.

I used to keep everything in my head or on sticky notes. Picking up groceries, driving to the doctor. Now it's all in one place and my brother actually helps.

Priya S., 41 (daughter)

I ask for what I need and someone in my Circle can see it and take care of it. It’s great for me to keep my personal list as well.

Sarah, 84

We live in three different provinces. Pearl is the only reason we're all on the same page about Mom's week.

Marcus T., 38 (son)

I was nervous about another app, but honestly it's so simple. I just say what I need and it goes to the right people. I'm 82 and I figured it out in ten minutes.

Fumiko H., 82

The guilt of not being there every day was eating me alive. There were new requests or needs every day, and I couldn’t keep up. Now nothing's falling through the cracks, and my brothers can see how much I’m doing on my own.

Leila A., 54 (daughter)

I'm a home care nurse and I manage 8 clients. Pearl lets me see what families need without playing phone tag and I am not forgotten.

Daria J., 34 (Trusted Provider)

My neighbour is in my Circle. My daughter is in my Circle. My physiotherapist is in my Circle. For the first time, everyone's actually connected.

Gloria M., 74

I signed my parents up thinking they'd never use it. My dad now updates his mood status, and sends a request every morning. He loves it!

Jin-Soo P., 36 (son)

We were managing Mum's life across a group chat and email, with 9 people. It was chaotic. Pearl replaced all of that in a weekend.

Amara O., 43 (daughter)

I don't have family nearby, but I’ve built a Circle with my neighbours, my friends and my sister in BC.

Robert W., 80

My dad has memory loss, so seeing his day laid out in one place has been huge for him. He asks fewer questions, he knows what's coming, and he feels more in control. That alone was worth it.

Nadia K., 39 (daughter)

I don't need help, not really (not yet anyways). But I love having everyone in one place.

Marianne K., 60

Ordering groceries or asking for little things around the house used to make me feel like I was bothering someone. Now it's just normal. I feel more included, not less.

Margaret L., 76

We’ve brought our clients into Pearl and they are enjoying building their circles, and we’ve been able to stay in the loop and be more involved.

Gregory R., 42 (Trusted Provider)

COMMON QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know

For Everyone
What does it actually do?
01

Pearl gives you one shared place to coordinate daily life and support for someone you care about. Instead of scattered texts, calls, and guesswork, everyone in the Circle can see what's needed, who's helping, and what's been done.

Who is Pearl for?
02

Anyone who wants to stay connected and organized around someone they care about. Family, friends, neighbours, colleagues. If you'd pick up the phone for them, you belong in their Circle.

How does it make my life easier?
03

No more being the one person who holds everything together. Pearl lets you create requests, assign tasks, share updates, and track what's happening, so the mental load gets shared across your whole Circle, not just you.

Do I need to live nearby to use it?
04

Not at all. Pearl is built for people who are spread out. Whether you're across town or across the country, you get the same visibility and can step in from anywhere.

Can I invite anyone to join?
05

Yes, that's the whole idea. Siblings, cousins, neighbours, friends, Trusted Providers. Everyone sees what's needed, and anyone can step up.

What if my parent isn't very tech-savvy?
06

Pearl is designed to be simple enough for anyone. Large text, clear buttons, voice input, and a straightforward layout. If they can send a text, they can use Pearl. And if they'd prefer, someone in the Circle can manage things on their behalf.

For Older Adults
Is this something my kids are going to control?
07

No. You’re at the centre of your own Circle. You decide who’s in it, what you need help with and how involved others are. Pearl keeps you in charge, with support when you want it, on your terms.

What can I use it for day to day?
08

Anything from asking for a ride to the doctor, to reminding your daughter about dinner on Sunday, to keeping track of your week. Requests, reminders, events, and chat, all in one place.

Is it hard to set up?
09

Not at all. Sign up, invite a few people to your Circle, and you're in. No learning curve. If you can send an email, you can use Pearl.

What if I don't need help right now?
10

That's actually the best time to start. Pearl isn't about needing help, it's about staying connected and organized so things don't fall through the cracks later. Think of it as your Circle, ready when you are.

But I already use text / WhatsApp / Facebook. Why another tool?
11

Pearl isn't just messaging, it's coordination. One place where everyone is together, with less tool-hopping and fewer things slipping through the cracks. Build your Circle, create events, share requests, or just send your daughter an update. It brings everything into one shared space.

For Trusted Providers
What's a Trusted Provider?
12

Anyone your family already relies on to support a loved one. A PSW, a cleaner, a dog walker, a handyman, a meal delivery person. If you trust them, they belong in your Circle.

How does it work?
13

Invite them into your Circle, just like you would a friend or family member. They can see relevant requests, pick up tasks, and stay coordinated with everyone, without the back-and-forth calls and texts.

Do they see everything in our Circle?
14

No. You control how much access they have. They only see what's relevant to them. Keep them in the loop, or at arm's length, whatever works for you.

Can we add more than one provider?
15

Absolutely. Most families have several people who help out. PSWs, neighbours, local services. Add as many as you need. Your Circle grows with you.

What if our needs change over time?
16

That's the point. Someone who pitches in now and then might become a regular part of your Circle. Pearl makes it easy to adjust as things evolve. No awkward conversations, just a flexible Circle that adapts with you.

Finding New Services (Coming Soon)
How do I find help I can trust?
17

Start with the people you already trust. Your Circle can recommend local businesses, and you decide who to add as a Trusted Provider. In the Marketplace you can browse services, events and everyday apps, see ratings from other Pearl families and save the ones you like. Pearl doesn't vet or endorse listings. You choose who comes into your Circle.

Can I add providers I already use?
18

Yes. If you already have a PSW, a cleaning service, or a neighbour who helps out, invite them into your Circle as a Trusted Provider. They'll see relevant requests and can coordinate alongside everyone.

How is this different from searching Google?
19

Google shows you everyone. Pearl shows you what fits your moment, with recommendations from your own Circle and ratings from other Pearl families. Once you find someone good, add them to your Circle so they're there next time. No re-searching.

What if something goes wrong with a business?
20

Your arrangement is directly between you and the business. If something isn't right, tell us at mycircle@hellopearl.app and we'll review the listing.

Your Data & Privacy Pearl is operated by ProveraCare Inc.
Is my data safe?
21

Yes. Your data is encrypted and stored securely on our infrastructure. We follow PIPEDA and PHIPA (Canada's federal and provincial privacy laws) and HIPAA (the U.S. health information standard). SOC 2 certification is underway.

Who can see my information?
22

Only the people in your Circle, and only what's relevant to them. Trusted Providers see requests and tasks they're involved in, not your private family conversations. You control access through your Circle settings.

Does Pearl sell my data?
23

No. We never sell your personal information. Your data is used only to run the platform and improve your experience. Full details are in our Privacy Policy at hellopearl.app/privacy-policy.

Is Hello Pearl a medical app?
24

No. Hello Pearl is a private family app for planning everyday life together. You can use it to care for someone you love, but we believe the person at the centre is a person first, not a patient. We don't keep medical records. Your doctor, pharmacy and hospital do. If you choose to add a health detail, like an appointment or a medication reminder, only the people you allow can see it. Health questions go to your health team, and in an emergency, call 911.

Can I delete my data?
25

Yes. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting privacy@hellopearl.app.

Why we built Pearl

Pearl exists because our founder, Angie, needed it.

Both of her parents want to stay home as they age. But between Angie, her brothers, her husband, and the rest of the family, keeping everyone on the same page was a constant struggle. Too many texts. Too many missed calls. Too many things falling through the cracks. Everyone wanted to help, but no one had a clear picture of what was needed or who was doing what.

So she built Pearl. Not as a business idea, but as a solution for her own family. One shared place where everyone could see what was happening, step in when they could, and stop worrying about what they might be missing.

That's still what Pearl is.
A tool built by a family, for families.
